Skeleton Tourbillon Watch Face

The tourbillon was invented in 1801 to even out the errors gravity causes as a watch sits in different positions — the whole escapement rides in a carriage that never stops turning. Here, under the guilloché dial, that carriage turns exactly once every sixty seconds. The meshed gears are set to turn against each other. The dial comes in black, green and navy, with the numerals and hands in steel or gold. A seventh preset turns the centre to khaki with fine horizontal stripes, with the markers and hands in cream lume. The carriage stays the same across all seven. On the always-on display the seconds hand is hidden, so the dimmed screen stays calm.
