Black Hole Watch Face

A black hole at the centre of your wrist. In the middle of a deep star field, a black hole bends the light around it. Its glowing orange disk turns without stopping, the bright arc wraps over the top of the dark centre and a thin ring of light closes underneath, the way light really bends around a black hole. The animation was modelled and rendered in 3D, then looped so it never jumps. Around it sit raised silver numerals, a bezel ring and silver hands with a red seconds hand sweeping past the black hole. Below the centre, an LCD window shows the time in white segments, following your watch's 12- or 24-hour setting, with the weekday and the date in their own windows at nine and three. Tilt your wrist and the star field and the glass shift with it. The always-on display turns to green lume over a dimmed dial, with the seconds hand hidden.
