Racing Chronograph Watch Face
A racing chronograph, made to read speed. The bezel carries a tachymeter scale. Time how many seconds it takes to cover one kilometre and the scale reads back your average speed, so the marks run from 60 to 400 and tighten exactly as the arithmetic says. Under the logo it reads VICTORY LAP, for the slow lap a winner drives after the flag. The left subdial tracks battery, the right one temperature and date. A digital readout sits in the aperture at six, with the step count above it and UV index and heart rate gathered at the lower left. Every part can be changed on its own — dial, subdials, bezel, tachymeter ring, indices, seconds hand, and the hour, minute and subdial hands. Dials come in silver, cream, white, pink, mint, yellow, orange, salmon, champagne and silver sunray; each subdial in black, blue, grey or green; the bezel in black, navy, green or rose gold; the seconds hand in five colours; the hands in steel, rose gold or black; the subdial hands in steel, rose gold or red. Start from one of thirteen presets if you would rather not build from scratch. On the always-on display the seconds hand and the digital seconds step away, so the dimmed face stays calm.
