LCD Digital Watch Face 04

A see-through LCD watch face. Look past the digits and you see the circuit board that drives them. The panels are clear, so the board shows through every window — the traces under the date and the time, the main chip under the weather window, the quartz crystal and the coin-cell holder around the edge. Light runs along the traces as the seconds pass, as if the board is working away beneath the glass. The top-left window holds the date and weekday, and the weather window beside it shows the current conditions as an icon with the temperature beneath. The large lower window carries the hour and minute with the seconds beside them, and a column on the left marks AM, PM or 24-hour time. Battery sits on the top plate, the UV index on the right, heart rate and steps along the foot. Every digit is set in the segment typeface drawn for this line, with the unlit segments showing behind. The digits take one of seventeen colours, from cream and lime to ice blue and red.
