A tactical LCD dial, drawn like a piece of field gear. The display sits inside an armoured frame held down by exposed screws, with a battery plate bolted across the top and a CMDN plate across the foot. The three lit windows are set deep into it like instruments in a hard case. Nothing is there for decoration — every window carries a reading you check on the move. The top-left window holds the date and weekday, and the weather window beside it shows the current conditions as an icon with the temperature beneath. The large lower window carries the hour and minute with the seconds beside them, and a column on the left marks AM, PM or 24-hour time. Battery sits on the top plate, the UV index on the right, heart rate and steps along the foot. Every digit is set in the segment typeface drawn for this line, with the unlit segments showing behind, the way a real LCD panel looks. Tilt your wrist and the glass reflection and the dial texture move with it. At night the panel goes dark and every segment glows green, like a backlit display read under a headlamp. The housing and the dial each come in khaki, navy or grey, the colours of equipment cases and webbing, chosen on their own. The digits take one of seventeen colours. Start from one of four presets.
